Angel Air Fresheners

A few weeks ago,  I was at the dollar store and saw some Christmas air fresheners. They were cheap, but not very cute. I figured I could change that. So, here she is...my air freshener angel.

.I started out with this air freshener.

I removed the plastic wrap and glued a fabric strip (about 9" x 1.5") around the bottom.

I cut out a circle about 12" in diameter and glued it to the top. Then, I glued a flesh colored ball on top of the fabric.

For the wings, I wrapped some wire around a paint bottle about eight times and then wrapped the ends around the loops to hold them together.

I shaped them and separated them.

I threaded a piece of ribbon around the middle of wings and tied it around the neck.

I didn't have yarn or doll hair, so I had to get a little creative. I found a silk flower, cut it apart, trimmed some of the petals, and glued it on. For the top layer, I folded and glued on a small flower and then glued the halo below it (the halo is made out of the same wire as the wings).

  I used another small folder flower to cover part of the halo. 

 I painted two eyes and added a little pink for the cheeks and this angel was done!

 Sweet.

 Easy.

 Cute.
